Patent drawing examples
Inspect actual mechanical patent drawing drafts: an assembly with an exploded view, an L bracket, and an enclosure. Review views, numerals, and limitations.

These patent drawing examples were generated by the current InventLM demo. They are engineering test structures, not drawings taken from filed or approved applications. Each sheet is available as vector output from its corresponding template.
A mechanical assembly with an exploded view
Three separate parts: a base, a support, and a headed pin. The exploded view shows their relationship.
The sheet combines isometric, front, top, and right views with an exploded view. Compare the component numerals across views. Some labels are omitted where the template's anchor is hidden, so review label coverage before using a sheet in an application.
This example demonstrates multiple views from one assembled model. It does not establish that the example includes every view an invention would need.
An L bracket with holes
A bracket with two base holes, an upright hole, and an inner fillet.
Follow the holes between the isometric and orthographic views. The bracket template lets you change the inner fillet radius. Hole positions in this template are fixed.
A thin-wall enclosure
An open-top enclosure with internal bosses and a side opening.
An open view helps reveal the internal arrangement. Compare it with the other views to identify features that become hidden. The enclosure template supports wall thickness changes.
What these examples cover
The demo also includes a perforated plate, a flanged bushing, and a curved-part example. It generates the configured views automatically. SVG and PDF downloads contain the drawing sheet; STEP contains the CAD model.
For the distinction between structural and appearance disclosure, read utility patent drawings and design patent drawings. The examples above demonstrate mechanical structures, not design-patent shading or claim boundaries.
